Born in Medellín (Colombia). Lives and works between Barcelona (Spain) and Bogotá (Colombia). Andrea studied visual arts at Universidad Nacional de Colombia (Sede Medellín) and Universidad de Barcelona. MA in Comparative Studies in Literature, Art and Thought (Universidad Pompeu Fabra). She holds a degree of the Integral Chef Course from The Hofmann School but her practice has moved mainly between painting, drawing, graphic design, sound and collective thinking. She has addressed among other topics: the relationships between the analog and the digital, the scientific and the mythical, and the western notion of the exotic.
Cofounder of L’Automàtica, Todojunto and Dinou and worked with institutions, magazines and projects such as MACBA and Fundació Miró, Blueproject Foundation, Fuet Magazine, Slowdown Studio, The Plant Magazine, Vein Magazine among others.
Her work has been featured in Frieze and Contemporary Art Daily, Metal Magazine and published in books like The Art of Rebelion and exhibited at Nogueras Blanchard, CCCB, SWAB, Homesession (Barcelona), Galerie T (Düsselddorf), Artbo, Casa Hoffmann, Galería El Museo, Galería Good Man Duarte, (Bogotá), Dama Aflita (Oporto), Bienal del Caribe (Santo Domingo), Supersimétrica (Madrid).
